It also makes the escalation visible. A compounded semaglutide vial costs the same at 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg a week but covers ten weeks at the first and five at the second, and by 2.4 mg the vial costs more and lasts 4.1 weeks. On top of every row sits $49 a month for medical care, which no medication price includes. Labs are ordered and interpreted by the practice, but their cost is excluded.

Branded vs compounded
