AM Rx review

Separate copays, care fees and bundles

AM Rx combines online weight-management care, insurance coordination and compounded options. Its copay, membership fee and drug-inclusive bundles describe different purchases; compare the selected plan’s continuing cost.

Our verdict

AM Rx may work for someone who wants help seeking insurance coverage and a separate cash-pay option if coverage fails. Compare the ongoing care fee and prescribed medicine together, or establish exactly what a named bundle includes. The terms distinguish coaching from licensed clinical advice, and a dated FDA letter adds context to earlier advertising. A written treatment and payment plan is more useful than an assumed total assembled from different offers.

What it is

AM Rx, LLC operates the platform. Its Terms of Use identify Bruno Health, P.A., Outlast Health and affiliated groups as sources of professional care. That division gives patients two relationships to clarify: who manages the account and who directs treatment. The site also offers other forms of virtual care, but a weight-loss membership should be judged on its own included services. Before moving existing care, identify the prescribing practice, the route for medical questions and how to obtain the treatment record if a different provider takes over.

How it works

The site describes online assessment, provider review, coaching and insurance coordination. Its general FAQ says laboratory work may be recommended and coordinated locally. That does not establish a fixed laboratory package for every weight-management plan. The terms explain that coaches are not all licensed healthcare professionals and provide general behavioral support. Ask which questions should go to the coach and which need the prescriber. A helpful coaching conversation is not itself an authorization to change the medicine, and a coverage coordinator cannot promise what an insurer will approve.

Pricing transparency

The general FAQ lists a $39 introductory weight-loss membership and a $135 standard monthly membership. The weight-loss page’s $25 figure concerns insured branded medicines; its $106 semaglutide comparison rate requires a three-month purchase. The Semaglutide + Doctor bundle is $217 initially, then $297 monthly; Tirzepatide + Doctor is $349 initially, then $449 monthly. These include medicine, care and fulfillment, with possible charges beyond standard titration. These are separate cost structures. Obtain the selected offer, recurring amount and supplied treatment period before adding or comparing charges. Do not add a membership twice to an inclusive bundle, or assume a drug-only equivalent removes the need for continuing care. Ask what remains payable if insurance does not cover the prescription.

Branded vs compounded

The current weight-loss materials name branded Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound and Mounjaro alongside compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide options. The treatment page describes weekly injections. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and lack premarket FDA review of safety, effectiveness or quality. In a June 8, 2026 letter concerning AM Rx, FDA challenged earlier representations about compounding identity and approval implications. The letter concerns advertising reviewed in March; it does not establish the contents of a current order or the correspondence’s present resolution. Request the actual preparation, dispenser and written directions before comparing supply.

FDA warning letter on record

The FDA issued a warning letter naming FitRX, LLC dba AM RX.

We publish this because it is a matter of public record and a reader weighing this provider should have it. A warning letter is the FDA setting out alleged violations; it is not a court finding, and a company may have responded or corrected since. It does not remove AM Rx from our rankings, and it does not change our verdict — read the letter and decide for yourself.

Pros and watch-outs

What we like

  • The service distinguishes coverage assistance from cash-pay alternatives
  • Published policies describe membership and named inclusive bundles
  • Clinical care and coaching have separately explained roles

Watch-outs

  • Small headline figures concern different types of payment
  • A longer medication purchase can involve a membership commitment
  • Earlier advertising is the subject of a dated FDA warning letter

Sources

Best for

Someone comparing insurance-assisted and cash-pay routes who wants ongoing remote support and will confirm the chosen care and medication charges together.

Who should look elsewhere

Someone treating an insured copay as a complete compounded prescription price, expecting guaranteed coverage, or relying on coaching as a substitute for licensed medical advice.

Frequently asked

Does a general membership pay for every GLP-1 prescription?
No. The subscription policy says medication and fulfillment are normally additional, while its named Doctor + GLP-1 programs include them. The relevant question is which arrangement appears in the offer you accept. Keep the included services and separate pharmacy charges on one written comparison.
Is every amount in the bundle fixed at every dose?
The weight-loss FAQ allows additional charges for doses beyond standard titration schedules. Ask what applies to the proposed prescription and any later change. A named bundle is not enough to establish an identical charge for every possible preparation or treatment adjustment.
What happens if clinical review rules out treatment?
The weight-loss FAQ describes a full-refund exception for clinical ineligibility under its named bundles. The general policy otherwise treats completed care, membership and filled prescriptions as nonrefundable. Establish the applicable purchase and processing stage before assuming either rule covers every situation.
How do I stop another membership renewal?
The subscription policy directs members to the account’s membership-management flow before renewal. It generally keeps access through the paid period without a prorated refund. Retain the confirmation and effective date. Not opening the portal or no longer using the service is a different action from canceling billing.
Can I delay a shipment instead of pausing membership?
The weight-loss FAQ says membership cannot currently be paused, although shipment timing can be delayed through the account. Those choices have different consequences. Confirm the next membership charge and the treatment plan before assuming that postponing a parcel also suspends the ongoing care fee.
Can people using government insurance join this program?
The weight-loss FAQ currently excludes members using government insurance plans such as Medicare or Medicaid. Confirm how that restriction applies before paying. A general statement about insurance coordination should not be read as acceptance of every type of coverage or a promise of reimbursement.
How can I tell which support channel handles a medical issue?
The homepage describes provider visits and ongoing team contact. Ask for the clinical route and the billing route when joining, and save both. When a question concerns a prescription rather than a payment, identify the professional responsible for the assessment instead of assuming every support conversation reaches the prescriber.
Does the website privacy policy explain all clinical-record handling?
The privacy policy separates general account information from protected medical information and points to a clinical privacy notice. Request the notice for the actual treating organization when records or information-sharing matter to your decision. A platform policy and an individual clinical record serve different purposes.
Is AM Rx legit?
FDA issued warning letter 728275 to FitRX, LLC dba AM RX on June 8, 2026. The letter is linked on this page. A warning letter sets out alleged violations; it is not a court finding. Read the linked record before deciding. AM Rx is a GLP-1 telehealth service. Before you pay, confirm which states it serves, whether it bills insurance and how its intake works in writing for your selected treatment.
Is AM Rx expensive compared with other GLP-1 providers?
AM Rx is listed from $297/mo in this comparison. The 387 reviewed GLP-1 providers with a listed monthly starting amount range from $76 to $1299, with a median of $179. That puts AM Rx above the median. The comparison excludes 192 other reviewed GLP-1 providers. Medicines, doses and payment commitments differ. Confirm the medication, renewal charge and included visits, supplies and delivery before deciding.
