This is the manufacturer's own mail-order channel, so the drug is brand Wegovy or Ozempic rather than a compounded copy of either. The strength is that the self-pay ladder is printed dose by dose: $149 a month at 1.5 mg, $199 at 4 mg, $299 at 9 mg and 25 mg. The defect is the $25 figure, which requires commercial drug coverage and reduces a copay by at most $100 a month. A cash buyer never pays $25. One pen month is a box of four pens, which covers 28 days rather than a calendar month.

How it works
A dispensing pharmacy rather than a prescriber. A prescription from a licensed health care provider has to exist first, and the pharmacy then fills and ships it. Self-pay orders are processed outside insurance, so they count toward no deductible and no out-of-pocket maximum.
Pricing transparency
Self-pay tablets are $149 a month at 1.5 mg, $199 at 4 mg and $299 at both 9 mg and 25 mg, where a month is defined as one bottle of 30 tablets. Pens are $199 a month for the first two fills of 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg through December 31, 2026, then $349 a month, with the 7.2 mg high dose at $399. A pen month is defined as one box of four pens. Separately, a savings card advertises as little as $25 a month, capped at $100 of savings and closed to government beneficiaries.
