MangoRx review

Oral treatment; clarify charges

MangoRx connects patients with clinicians for men’s-health treatment. Its Slim weight-management option is compounded oral semaglutide; the consultation and refund terms deserve close attention.

Our verdict

MangoRx may suit someone interested in a prescription tablet through an online men’s-health service. Its strongest practical limitation is the mismatch between the free-visit message and the separate GLP-1 consultation-fee policy. Resolve the applicable charges before relying on a starting price.

What it is

The legal documents identify Mangoceuticals, Inc., doing business as MangoRx. The terms describe a technology platform connecting users with medical groups and Epiq Scripts, LLC pharmacy, rather than MangoRx itself providing medical care. The company’s broader catalog addresses several men’s-health needs, including weight loss. A product advertised for erectile function or testosterone support should not be used to estimate the price or conditions of Slim. Compare the actual weight-management prescription rather than the brand’s cheapest unrelated treatment.

How it works

The telehealth consent describes interactions by audio, video or asynchronous communication. A clinician can decide that remote care is unsuitable and recommend an in-person assessment. The consent also says this service supports coordination with existing clinicians rather than replacing their care. That matters if a symptom needs an examination, testing or a different practice’s follow-up. Ask how to reach the prescribing clinician between orders and what happens when remote review is insufficient. Do not treat delivery of a prescription as a substitute for a continuing clinical relationship.

Pricing transparency

The weight-loss page advertises Slim starting at $67 per month and describes a thirty-day pack. It does not bind that floor to a selected dose, commitment and complete recurring payment schedule. The homepage advertises free provider visits and shipping on all orders. That headline should be read with the treatment-specific financial policy. The January 2025 refund page lists $80 for video or $70 for phone consultation when GLP-1 treatment is not a good fit after the appointment. Obtain the applicable visit and medication charges together; a declined prescription does not necessarily mean no charge. The general FAQ says insurance is neither accepted nor required.

Branded vs compounded

Slim is described as semaglutide with vitamin B6 compounded into oral dissolving tablets. The page publishes dose options and assigns dose selection to the physician. Its thirty-day pack description does not establish what every later refill will cost. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved; FDA does not review their safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing. Ask the prescriber to explain the proposed preparation’s evidence and instructions. Brand names mentioned in a general footer should not be treated as confirmation that an identical product or clinical result is included in this particular plan.

Pros and watch-outs

What we like

  • The weight-loss page identifies the preparation and supplied pack.
  • The terms identify a pharmacy relationship.
  • The consent explains the limits of remote care.

Watch-outs

  • Free-visit marketing and GLP-1 fee terms need reconciliation.
  • Pharmacy-choice clauses are inconsistent.
  • Remote assessment may require in-person care.

Frequently asked

What happens to payment if treatment is declined?
The general FAQ says a declined order is canceled and the captured amount returned. The separate GLP-1 refund policy instead describes retaining a consultation charge after an appointment when treatment is unsuitable. It also allows prescription-cost refunds for filling errors or cancellation before filling, subject to its policy. These statements should not be combined into an unconditional guarantee. Ask which applies to the selected appointment and order.
How should I stop an auto-refill?
The FAQ says subscription enrollment is optional, cancellation is available through the account or support, and auto-refills process every twenty-five days. That processing cadence is not proof of the date or amount charged. The terms require cancellation at least forty-eight hours before renewal. The GLP-1 policy separately requires twenty-four hours’ notice for appointments and lists an $80 late-cancellation or possible no-show fee. Cancel the relevant service, not just a future shipment.
Does general shipping coverage establish my eligibility for Slim?
No. The FAQ lists shipping destinations but also says availability depends on state telehealth rules, the treatment and physician licensing. A shipping address on a general list does not establish eligibility for this prescription. Confirm the selected treatment at your physical location.
Can I choose another pharmacy?
The terms initially allow a preferred pharmacy and mention pharmacy-set transfer fees, but a later prescription clause says the patient waives pharmacy choice. Those statements conflict. Request clarification of the dispensing and transfer arrangement before consenting; the named platform pharmacy does not establish that every possible order has the same fulfillment terms.
Are laboratory charges included in Slim?
The FAQ discusses mandatory bloodwork principally for testosterone support and does not establish a universal Slim laboratory package. Do not transfer another treatment’s testing rules or benefits to weight management. Ask whether the clinician needs testing for your case, where it can be completed and who pays.
Can the telehealth record be shared with another clinician?
The consent says records can be shared with other healthcare providers at the patient’s request and with consent, and allows withdrawal of telehealth consent by email. Request the applicable privacy notice and record-transfer process before submitting sensitive information. These provisions do not promise immediate record delivery, unrestricted deletion or that every platform interaction has the same privacy status.
