Every medication Walgreens Weight Management prescribes is an FDA-approved brand product, and the $49 online visit is charged separately from all of them.
Our verdict
This is not a compounding seller. Walgreens Weight Management is the chain's own telehealth arm, and it prescribes Wegovy, Zepbound, Foundayo and Saxenda — all FDA-approved, all brand. Two things complicate the price. The visit is billed apart from the drug, at $49 for the initial video consult and $49 for each follow-up. The medication figures are manufacturer savings-card rates from Novo Nordisk and Lilly, each dated to expire on December 31, 2026. The Wegovy injection is also sold in 28-day fills, which buys thirteen fills across a year rather than twelve.

What it is
The telehealth weight-management program run by the Walgreens retail pharmacy chain, staffed by Walgreens-affiliated medical practices that are independently owned and operated by licensed physicians on the Walgreens virtual care platform. It dispenses brand GLP-1 medication only.
How it works
An online questionnaire screens for BMI and weight-related conditions, then a doctor or nurse practitioner reviews it and recommends a medication. Visits are chat or video depending on the state. There is no subscription: initial video visits start at $49 and follow-up chat visits and any further video visits are $49 each, with medication cost excluded from that figure. Lab work through Labcorp or Quest is a separate fee that Walgreens says may vary.
Pricing transparency
Wegovy injection is $199 per fill for the first two fills, covering the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg doses only, then $349 per fill; Walgreens states that each fill equals a 28-day supply. The Wegovy pill is $149 a month for 1.5 mg, $199 for 4 mg and $299 for 9 mg and 25 mg, each a 30-tablet bottle described as a 30-day supply. Foundayo lists at $149 for 0.8 mg, $199 for 2.5 mg, $299 for 5.5 mg and 9 mg, and $349 for 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg. Zepbound KwikPens run $299 for 2.5 mg through $699 for the three highest doses, with a $449 offer on four of them. Every one of those figures is a manufacturer self-pay savings offer, not a Walgreens price, and each is stated to end on December 31, 2026.
Branded vs compounded
Four FDA-approved brand products: Wegovy (semaglutide, as a weekly injection and a daily oral pill), Zepbound (tirzepatide, as KwikPens and vials), Foundayo (orforglipron, a daily oral pill) and Saxenda (liraglutide, a daily injection). Nothing on offer is compounded. Foundayo is orforglipron and not a semaglutide product, a distinction the pricing footnotes keep clear even where the headline figures look alike.
