DoctorAdam review

Floor price, unstated ceiling

Every weight-loss card opens with "From", and the FAQ puts the catalog's real floor at $199 a month — seventy dollars above the number on the card.

Our verdict

DoctorAdam is unusually clean on fees: the product pages say the price covers the physician evaluation, the prescription, the medication and shipping, and state outright that there is no membership. The problem is the other end. Prices scale with dosage, the strengths run from 0.22mg to 2.2mg, and no per-strength figure is published anywhere. So $129 buys the bottom of a ladder whose rungs are invisible, and the site's own FAQ says treatments run from $199 to $1,349 a month — a range that starts above the price on the card.

What it is

An Anaheim-based telehealth store selling compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide in injectable and oral tablet form, alongside brand Wegovy and Foundayo and a wide non-GLP-1 catalog.

How it works

A Shopify storefront feeding a nineteen-step intake on a separate portal. Doctors review submissions within about a day, with a video consult or live chat required in some states, and a full refund is offered if nothing is prescribed. Pharmacies are described only as US-licensed compounders and are not named.

Pricing transparency

Semaglutide injection and semaglutide oral tablets both open at $129 a month, tirzepatide oral tablets at $199 and tirzepatide injection at $229. Each is written as a "From" figure, and the FAQ explains why: price varies with treatment type and dosage. That same FAQ then places the range at $199 to $1,349 a month, which puts the catalog's stated floor $70 above the two $129 cards. What a maintenance strength costs is not published on any page a buyer can reach before handing over a name.

Branded vs compounded

Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, by injection and as oral tablets. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality before dispensing. The store also lists two FDA-approved brand products: Wegovy from $169 a month and Foundayo, the once-daily orforglipron tablet, from $199. Semaglutide strengths are published — 0.22mg, 0.44mg, 0.88mg, 1.5mg and 2.2mg — which most of this category does not do.

Pros and watch-outs

What we like

  • Milligram strengths are published for the semaglutide injection
  • The price covers evaluation, prescription, medication and shipping
  • No membership or program fee is charged alongside the medication
  • Brand Wegovy and Foundayo are sold beside the compounded lines

Watch-outs

  • Prices scale with dose and no per-strength figure is published
  • The FAQ's $199 floor sits above the $129 on two product cards
  • Compounding pharmacies are not named
  • The plan screen is behind a name field at step two of the intake

Best for

Buyers starting at a low titration dose.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone pricing a maintenance dose before signing up.

Frequently asked

What does DoctorAdam actually cost?
The cards open at $129 a month for semaglutide in either form, $199 for tirzepatide tablets and $229 for the tirzepatide injection. All four are "From" figures. The FAQ says price varies with dosage and puts the catalog range at $199 to $1,349 a month.
Are there hidden fees?
The product pages state that the price includes the physician evaluation, the prescription, the medication and shipping, with no membership. A full refund is offered if a prescription is not issued. The variable here is dose, not fees.
What dose does $129 buy?
The lowest strength. Semaglutide is offered at 0.22mg, 0.44mg, 0.88mg, 1.5mg and 2.2mg, and the site says price depends on dosage without publishing the ladder. A titration dose and a maintenance dose are very different amounts of drug at very different prices.
Does DoctorAdam sell brand-name medication?
Yes. Wegovy is listed from $169 a month and Foundayo, the once-daily orforglipron tablet, from $199. Both are FDA-approved products rather than compounded preparations, so they carry a manufacturer's label and a different regulatory footing.
Is DoctorAdam legit?
DoctorAdam is a GLP-1 sellers by price service. Its stated availability: 44 states. What our record does not establish: whether it bills insurance and how its intake works. Ask for those in writing before you pay.
Is DoctorAdam expensive compared with other GLP-1 sellers by price providers?
DoctorAdam publishes a starting figure of $129/mo. Across the 332 GLP-1 sellers by price providers we review that publish a single monthly figure, those run $76 to $449 with a median of $179, which puts DoctorAdam below the median, toward the cheaper end. The other 23 GLP-1 sellers by price providers we review quote only after an intake or price by dose, so they are not in that comparison. A starting figure is not a bill — labs, consultations and shipping are often charged separately, so confirm what your own quote includes.
