WeightCare review
Prepaid plans need comparison
WeightCare offers remote semaglutide and tirzepatide programs, with monthly and longer purchases whose dose limits, renewal prices and state restrictions need separate comparison.
Our verdict
WeightCare offers useful plan detail, but its lowest monthly equivalents should not be read as flexible monthly bills. The main decision is how much treatment you are committing to buy and whether the selected plan covers the dose your clinician actually prescribes. Its public pages also contain inconsistent availability wording. Resolve the medication, payment period and state eligibility together before treating a longer package as better value.

What it is
WeightCare is an online prescription weight-management service with separate program pages for semaglutide, tirzepatide and higher-dose tirzepatide. It combines clinical review with medication delivery rather than acting only as an educational directory. The product structure matters: a starter purchase and a higher-dose continuation package are different offers even when their ingredient name matches. A patient already receiving treatment should compare the continuation option that fits their present prescription, not the introductory package intended for someone starting lower. An online product selection remains subject to the treating clinician’s assessment; a larger purchase does not entitle someone to a particular regimen.
How it works
The program describes an initial telehealth visit, prescription medication if approved, physician messaging and monthly check-ins. The FAQ explains an order-first process followed by a medical questionnaire and clinician review. Before paying, understand what happens between those steps and when any payment becomes nonrefundable. Messaging access can be useful for sharing progress, but it is different from a scheduled discussion: ask whether follow-up is asynchronous, how to request an appointment and what information is needed for a refill. For someone with an established local clinician, keeping the actual prescription and follow-up records together is more useful than relying on the program name alone.
Pricing transparency
The semaglutide page lists $399 for its monthly option and $747 paid upfront for three months, described as a $249 monthly equivalent. It also displays longer-plan equivalents, but those figures do not establish a monthly installment arrangement. Standard tirzepatide is listed at $499 monthly. Its three-month starter is presented separately from higher-dose continuation: the high-dose page lists $1,350 for three months and $2,150 for six months. Do not extend a lower-dose package’s advertised equivalent to those purchases. The site uses both month and twelve-week descriptions, so request the exact supplied weeks and next charge. A discount is only comparable when the medication, duration and prescribed dose are aligned.
Branded vs compounded
The pages explicitly describe compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, with the latter described as a weekly injection. Compounded drugs lack FDA approval, and the agency does not assess their safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing. The standard tirzepatide monthly description covers prescribed doses from 2.5 to 15 mg per week, while its starter and some longer plans have narrower limits. Those are offer boundaries, not instructions to increase a dose. The clinician should identify the actual formulation and concentration supplied. WeightCare also advertises alternative-format and lower-dose products; their menu presence does not establish that they are equivalent substitutes for the injection programs. Compare the prescribed preparation rather than assuming the same ingredient name means the same product.
Pros and watch-outs
What we like
- Monthly and prepaid purchases are distinguished on product pages
- Higher-dose tirzepatide has a separate program description
- Messaging and ongoing check-ins are part of the care model
- Public policies explain cancellation and prepaid refund limits
Watch-outs
- Advertised monthly equivalents may require upfront payment
- Starter and continuation offers have different dose boundaries
- Availability statements conflict for some states and programs
- Canceling future renewal does not establish a prepaid refund
Sources
Best for
An eligible adult who wants remote follow-up and can compare an exact prescribed program with its full upfront cost, continuation price and state-specific availability.
Who should look elsewhere
Someone choosing solely by the lowest monthly equivalent, expecting one nationwide availability list, or needing a long prepaid commitment to remain freely refundable.

How we assessed this. This review reflects GLP Loss’s own read of WeightCare’s publicly-stated model — pricing transparency, clinical oversight, medication clarity, and access — against our editorial methodology. Frequently asked
- Is WeightCare’s advertised monthly equivalent a monthly bill?
- Not necessarily. The semaglutide comparison expressly describes its three-month purchase as payable at the start. Ask whether the selected longer plan is prepaid, financed or charged in installments. Those arrangements can show similar monthly figures while creating very different obligations if treatment changes.
- Will a starter tirzepatide plan cover a higher prescribed dose?
- Do not assume it will. The product pages distinguish starter plans from high-dose programs and list different included ranges. Ask support to identify the correct continuation offer for the clinician’s prescription, including what happens if the dose changes during a prepaid period.
- Can someone in Alabama enroll?
- The semaglutide page disagrees with itself: its opening plan comparison excludes Alabama, while a general availability answer omits that exclusion. Those conflicting statements do not establish eligibility. Obtain confirmation for your exact program before placing an order or submitting sensitive intake information.
- Does California have the same eligibility for every plan?
- No single list should be applied across the catalog. The high-dose tirzepatide page specifically excludes California, while the standard tirzepatide page shows a different list. Check the chosen product and intended continuation plan; access to one offer does not establish eligibility for another.
- How do I cancel a WeightCare program?
- The FAQ directs patients to email support with CANCEL in the subject line and obtain confirmation. Keep that confirmation and establish which renewal it stops. Product-page language about canceling should not be interpreted as permission to reverse an already-paid multi-month purchase without checking the separate refund policy.
- What are the main refund limits?
- The refund policy describes a full refund for ineligibility or before questionnaire submission. After submission, refunds are generally unavailable and considered individually. It also rejects prorated refunds and medication returns. An approved multi-month adjustment can value medicine already received at regular package pricing rather than its discounted equivalent.
- Will the first package price continue at refill?
- The three-month tirzepatide starter is advertised at $897, while the FAQ lists a $997 renewal for 7.5 mg per week over twelve weeks. Those are different purchases. Confirm the next payment and supplied quantity before accepting a renewal; the starting package should not be treated as an ongoing rate.
- Does financing change medical eligibility or refund rights?
- The FAQ presents financing as a payment option subject to separate approval, not a treatment decision. Clinical approval is still required. Before using it, check the lender’s repayment agreement and how any approved merchant refund would be handled. A smaller installment does not make the underlying program commitment shorter.
- Is WeightCare expensive compared with other GLP-1 providers?
- WeightCare is listed from $499/mo in this comparison. The 387 reviewed GLP-1 providers with a listed monthly starting amount range from $76 to $1299, with a median of $179. That puts WeightCare above the median. The comparison excludes 192 other reviewed GLP-1 providers. Medicines, doses and payment commitments differ. Confirm the medication, renewal charge and included visits, supplies and delivery before deciding.
