SexyMD review

SexyMD publishes separate compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide injection plans, with lower advertised rates for longer supply commitments.

SexyMD review: the current plan ladder, supply and delivery periods, asynchronous care, shipping inclusions and cancellation rules that affect a purchase.

Our verdict

SexyMD provides enough detail to compare short and long treatment plans, but its lowest advertised rate should be kept beside the associated duration. The longer option is not the same purchase as a flexible refill. Before choosing, get the charge schedule and supplied quantity in writing, including what happens if the clinician changes treatment. The public plan ladder is useful; the payment agreement still needs to explain how the displayed monthly amount relates to shipments and renewal.

What it is

SexyMD identifies itself as a technology and administrative platform rather than the medical practice. Its terms name SexyMD LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, and identify independent professional entities including WizDoc LLC and Jonathan Larson, MD, P.C. These are business-role disclosures, not independent verification of your assigned clinician. The homepage presents physician-supervised wellness programs for women. Ask who will provide your care and how medical questions are routed separately from billing or fulfillment requests.

How it works

The medical FAQ describes an asynchronous process: a clinician reviews the submitted health history, then an approved prescription goes to a pharmacy. Video appointments are not described as required. Unlimited provider messaging is included, with responses during typical business hours. That arrangement can suit someone who prefers written communication, but ask how a time-sensitive treatment concern will be handled. The clinician may request additional information or recent laboratory records. Do not assume that a short intake guarantees approval or that every prescription follows the same review schedule.

Pricing transparency

The semaglutide page lists Monthly Flex at $149 for a four-week supply, then advertised monthly rates of $139, $119 and $99 for twelve-, twenty-four- and forty-eight-week plans. Its longer plans have deliveries every twelve weeks. Tirzepatide lists $199 for Monthly Flex, followed by $179, $159 and $129 across the corresponding longer plans. The pages label these amounts per month while describing supply in weeks. Ask for the exact payment frequency and upfront amount rather than inventing a total by multiplying the headline. The shipping FAQ says treatment prices include shipping. The payment FAQ says charging occurs when an order is submitted, before clinical review.

Branded vs compounded

The current product pages explicitly identify compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide injections, with weekly subcutaneous administration described. Confirm the actual preparation, concentration, instructions and supplied amount for your prescription. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and lack premarket FDA review of safety, effectiveness or quality. A named molecule and an advertised plan length do not establish a dose-independent price or guarantee the same preparation throughout treatment.

Pros and watch-outs

What we like

  • Separate product pages make the medicine and plan durations easier to compare.
  • The medical FAQ explains asynchronous care and included provider messaging.
  • Shipping is described as included in treatment pricing.

Watch-outs

  • Monthly labels and week-based supply periods need a clear payment schedule.
  • A current order and a future subscription renewal have different cancellation rules.
  • The public pharmacy network description does not identify your assigned dispenser.

Best for

People who prefer asynchronous care and can compare the selected supply term, delivery schedule and written payment agreement before committing.

Who should look elsewhere

Someone choosing only by the lowest monthly-looking amount or expecting to reverse an approved prescription order simply by stopping future renewals.

How we assessed this. This review reflects GLP Loss’s own read of SexyMD’s publicly-stated model — pricing transparency, clinical oversight, medication clarity, and access — against our editorial methodology. Frequently asked

Does the lowest advertised rate apply to Monthly Flex?
No. The product pages reserve the lowest displayed rates for the longest plans. Keep the selected duration with the quote when comparing offers. Request the amount charged today and at each later payment, rather than assuming a monthly equivalent is the amount due now.
Is care provided through a scheduled video appointment?
The medical FAQ describes asynchronous review and portal messaging, without requiring a video appointment. Ask how follow-up works for your situation and when to expect a response. Being able to send a message at any hour is different from having a clinician respond immediately.
Can I stop the next renewal?
Cancel the subscription through the dashboard or support at least forty-eight hours before renewal. This ends future service at the current period’s close; it does not cancel an order already submitted.
What if I need to cancel an order or request a refund?
The terms define exceptions for pre-review cancellation, failure to fulfill, shipping delays and confirmed fulfillment or delivery problems. The payment FAQ also describes a $99 early cancellation fee, while the terms describe discretionary full refunds in specified cases. Request clarification before purchase.
What if treatment is not approved?
The medical FAQ says a clinician may decline or suggest an alternative, with any refund handled under the policy. Ask how the decision and payment reversal are communicated. A provider’s alternative recommendation should be considered with the new preparation and payment terms, rather than accepted solely to preserve an opening price.
Who will fill my prescription?
The terms allow pharmacies in its network to change. Ask for your actual dispenser. They also state that prescriptions are not shipped in child-resistant packaging, which matters when planning secure storage.
How should I handle a shipping problem?
The shipping FAQ directs patients to report delays and damaged packages through the portal, with photographs for visible damage. Keep the shipment and order details available. Ask about the applicable reporting window and replacement process before disposing of packaging or assuming that a late delivery will automatically be refunded.
Can every program be used in my state?
The homepage describes broad nationwide access but qualifies it by provider and pharmacy licensing, and says not all programs are available in every state. Confirm the selected preparation for your current location before ordering. A general service-area statement is not a product-specific eligibility decision.
Is SexyMD expensive compared with other GLP-1 providers?
SexyMD is listed from $161/mo in this comparison. The 387 reviewed GLP-1 providers with a listed monthly starting amount range from $76 to $1299, with a median of $179. That puts SexyMD below the median. The comparison excludes 192 other reviewed GLP-1 providers. Medicines, doses and payment commitments differ. Confirm the medication, renewal charge and included visits, supplies and delivery before deciding.
